Mike Chiang received his LL.B. degree from Chinese Culture University in Taipei, Taiwan and his LL.M. and J.D. degrees from University of Notre Dame in Indiana, USA. From 1995 to 1998, Mike Chiang practiced law in Los Angeles and Orange County, California. From August 1998 to November 2005, Mike worked with Jones Day’s Taipei Office. Mike joined AllBright Law Offices in Shanghai in December 2005. Mike Chiang has extensive practice experience in cross-boarder business transactions and international investments, cross-strait investments and cross-border disputes resolution. With respect to cross-boarder business transactions and international investments, Mike has represented many clients in various joint venture establishments, merger and acquisition transactions, inbound and outbound investments, technology transfers and sales and distribution transactions, etc. As to cross-strait investments, Mike traveled between Taiwan and Mainland China very frequently. He advised and assisted clients in various cross-strait transactions, including assisting a major Taiwanese company to set up a joint venture in Mainland China with a major European automobile company for the production and sales of cars in Mainland China. With respect to cross-border disputes resolution, Mike assisted a major Taiwanese company to participate in the entire proceeding of a major ICC arbitration and also assisted client to handle several U.S. and U.K. litigations. He has extensive experience in handling cross-border arbitrations and litigations. Mike also has substantial teaching experience. He taught “Technology Laws” and “Cross-Border Disputes Resolution” at National Taipei University of Technology and Chinese Culture University as an adjunct assistant professor from 1998 to 2005. He is now teaching “Technology Laws” and “Cross-Border Disputes Resolution” at East China University of Politics and Laws in Shanghai. Mike is a member of the State Bar of New York and the State Bar of California. He is fluent in Taiwanese, Mandarin and English. | ||
