Alex is a Technology and Intellectual Property Lawyer he advises suppliers and their insurers internationally on recovering failed or failing technology projects, including large scale IT projects and resolving disputes involving the delivery of technology based projects. Alex has significant experience investigating and reporting on the causes of project failures leading teams of lawyers and IT technology specialists in the resolution of complex high value litigation mediation and arbitration

Alex is frequently engaged by clients and their insurers in a crisis management capacity to deal with problem projects, system failures and notified claims to protect the insured's reputation when fast moving contentious situations arise. He has been working with Hiscox for approximately 10 years and with Andrew Sellers in particular.

Alex also leads the trade mark designs and brands practice and has significant experience advising brand owners, product designers marketing professionals and those in the media and creative industries in respect of the protection of their brand value and reputation.

He has been the lead adviser in a number of landmark cases, including Reed Elsevier v Reed Employment, Cala Homes v McCalpines, Guild v Nabavi as well as a number of high profile actions in the UK and other trade mark registries.
