Alexander Duisberg Partner, Munich | ![]() |
Alexander is head of the IT Sector Group of Bird & Bird in Germany. He has specialised in the areas of IT and commercial transactions for about ten years. Alexander's expertise and practical experience covers the full range of contentious and non-contentious matters of IT law (licensing, professional services, e- and m-commerce, data protection law, etc.), including major projects, complex technology transfer agreements, strategic alliances, IT related aspects of M&A transactions and outsourcing arrangements of all kind. Before and after joining Bird & Bird in 2003 he has been working on a number of major outsourcing projects. His base of domestic and international clients comprises suppliers and users of IT services next to providers and customers of outsourcing and off-shoring services, as well as clients from the semi-conductor industry. Alexander is a frequent speaker at international conferences and contributes to publications on IT related and outsourcing topics. Alexander grew up in the United States, India and Germany, went to law school at the University of Bonn where he also obtained his doctorate in law in 1995. Prior to joining Bird & Bird for the opening of its Munich office, he worked as an attorney at the international law firm of Baker & McKenzie. Alexander speaks regularly at national and international conferences and holds a list of publications on matters in the IT sector. | ||
