Arunesh Dayal is India Legal Counsel for Red Hat, an open source software company with extended responsibilities for the Asia Pacific region. In his role he has worked with a variety of different partners and customers, including large financial institutions, retail companies and the government sector, to help them understand both Red Hat's subscription business model and open source licensing issues. He has been actively involved in driving discussion before technology forum on the nuances of contacting in an Open Source environment. Prior to working at Red Hat, he has worked as an in house Legal Counsel with the Indian subsidiary of the French petroleum company TOTAL the world's fourth largest international oil and gas major and with RPG Cables which is part of the well known RPG Group one of India's top five industrial houses.
