Deepak Jacob is currently Heading the Legal & Compliance Division for eBay India. His job responsibilities cover not only the Legal aspects of eBay’s business but also the Trust & Safety & Law Enforcement aspects. He graduated from the Madras Law College in 1995. He begun his career as a litigation lawyer which spanned a period of over 8 years and during which time he had the opportunity of practicing before various courts and tribunals in Delhi. He moved to Kochhar & Co as a Senior Associate where he focused mainly on corporate transactional work for some of the biggest multinational companies in India. He was hired by Reliance Infocomm in the year 2003 and worked as an in house Legal Counsel to look after its Broadband Division. In his 2 year stint at Reliance he was instrumental in providing legal support for the setting up & launch of Reliance’s Broadband Services across the country. He loves adventure sports, i.e. trekking, rafting, sailing and is also a good squash & Table Tennis player. His hobbies include reading, rock music, chess etc..
