Ian Ferguson heads Allen & Overy's Communications, Media and Technology Group and Outsourcing Practice.

Ian has significant experience of outsourcing transactions involving business processes, IT services and communications services, advising both suppliers and customers, across a range of sectors. His experience includes multi-jurisdictional and offshore transactions.

His technology practice includes advising on the supply of systems and software, and on electronic banking and trading platforms, as well as on acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures in the technology sector. He has advised on numerous e-commerce and Internet related projects including establishing start-ups, regulatory reviews and commercial content related contracts.

Ian's telecommunications practice includes advising internationally on strategic investments, M&A, joint ventures, privatisations, regulation and various types of commercial contracts in the telecommunications sector. He has acted for both governments and investors on telecoms transactions in Europe, Middle East, Africa, India, Asia and South America.
