Vishal Gandhi is a U.K. qualified lawyer, a Solicitor (Supreme Court of England and Wales) and an Advocate (Maharashtra & Goa). He is licensed to practice Indian laws. He is also the founder of Gandhi and Associates (“G & A”) an Indian law firm with a focus on corporate, securities and intellectual property laws. G & A is ranked as one of the top law firms in Mumbai, in practice areas such as mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and intellectual property.

From the beginning of his career, Vishal’s focus has been on cross-border transactions. He has been involved in numerous projects involving international clients seeking advice on the peculiar Indian law issues that need consideration with regard to their transactions in India. Vishal recently also advised the Government of Japan on copyright matters and one of India’s largest bank- the State Bank of India on data protection and privacy law matters and outsourcing of its data centre to a service provider.

In addition to working on information technology/intellectual property transactions such as outsourcing and off-shoring, software licensing, biotechnology and clinical trial related transactions, Vishal also has the experience of working on transactions relating to venture capital and private equity investments, joint ventures and strategic alliances, acquisitions.
