From 1999 to 2000, Ms. Swaroop served as a law clerk to the Honorable Saundra Brown Armstrong, U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.

Ms. Swaroop is a member of various legal and business organizations and has served as past president of the South Asian Bar Association of Southern California. She has also authored several articles, including an article analyzing infringement claims for off-label uses of pharmaceuticals that appeared in the BNA Pharmaceutical Law & Industry Report.

In a survey of her peers published in Los Angeles magazine and Super Lawyers magazine, Ms. Swaroop was named as one of Southern California's "Rising Stars" in intellectual property law in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
